A hot yoga practice centred around the natural heat of a woodburning stove. This class is designed to emulate the heat and humidity of a traditional yoga shala in India. The purpose of hot yoga is to encourage sweating, believed to detoxify the body, as well as improve flexibility, boost stamina, improve overall fitness, relieve stress and increase circulation.
Welcome an opportunity to utilise heat to intensify your focus as a tool to quiet the mind as you strengthen and relax the body. We will use this intensity of heat and holding postures in this low slow flow to move into deep relaxation.
Expect:
•Hot hot heat (35-40 degrees)
•Expect a mainly floor based practice with longer, slower holds to allow deep connective tissue releases.
